Here my journey started from crawling to walking with crutches. After getting all the information from colleague my father started planning to visit the doctor in Chennai. My father was a government employee but in 1994 his salary was not sufficient enough to plan the journey so he get some money from his friends and borrow some money from EPF. Without any appointment my father took me to the doctor so it becomes little difficult for us to meet the doctor. And second problem was the language as my father only knows Hindi so he was facing problem while communicating with the local peoples. But as we know god is always there to help us so my father finds a person among them who was able to understand my father and translating everything to my father. Finally we meet Dr. R Gopal Krishnan. The doctor examined my legs and said that i will make sure that he will be able to walk on his own legs. After hearing these words from the doctor my father becomes so happy that he was unable to express his happiness. He simply said Sir tell me when i should come here for the treatment of my son. Doctor said just go and visit my secretory she will give you all the information. My father meets Mrs Lata the secretory of the doctor and get all the information regarding the doctor's fee, hospital charges and other expenses. After getting all the information my father took me and leave the hospital happily with the next appointment to visit the doctor. I remember both of us were not eaten anything since morning. So my father took me to a bench and said just look at the belongings i am going to bring some food for us. But he was unable to find any food so he brings 2 dozen of banana and said have this there is nothing outside. We ate that and took a local train from Chennai central to Peramboor. It was 5:30 pm at peramboor my father went out to find some food and reminding me the belongings. He finds some food and bring that and finally we were having some food. During all these process we don't realize that we are having shortage of money. My father took out all the money and counted that was only rs 400. Now my father started worrying about the ticket and so long journey of around 48 hours. So he decided to get in the train without ticket and talk to the TTE for ticket and seat. Around 9 pm we get inside the train and sit on a vacant seat. After some time the TTE comes and asked for ticket my father said that i am having only rs 400 so its all up to you either fine or leave me because i have to travel a long journey of around 48 hours and during this journey i have to feed my son. So now whatever your decision will be i will obey it. The TTE was a kind person he just took rs 150 from my father and gives us a seat for the journey and went away. The follow passengers were also kind and gentle persons. They helped us during the whole journey and we reached our home. 🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺🔺
After returning from Chennai my father started collecting money from all the sources from where he can. After one month he was able to manage the required money and booked the ticket for Chennai. While this time i was feeling nervous as i know that they will operate me so i was frightened also. As the train was approaching Chennai i was feeling even more frightened. At 4:30 am the train was near peramboor station and something i smelled and started vomiting my father took me to the sink while vomiting i was thinking that if i will vomit then my father took me back to home. We reached the hospital and after doing all the formalities i was admitted. They kept me there for three days and preformed all the checkup and after getting all the reports normal doctor fixed the next day for my operation. On the day of operation my father was little bit nervous and i was full of fear. when they were taking me to the operation theater i was crying because no one was there with me except my father. my mother was at home as my father was unable to afford the expenses. When i entered the operation theater i looked around and after looking at the equipment kept there i was full of fear and started crying loudly. Then a nurse comes to me and tried to console me. But i kept crying then the doctor comes and said OK stop crying you are a brave boy i will not operate you. As he was talking in Hindi so i was manipulated by him and someone given me anesthesia and i was unconscious. I was operated for 4 hours and when i wake up i found my father in front of me. I was felling pain in my left legs so i told my father that is there anything on my legs. He said there is nothing its just a plaster and i think they have tightened it that's why you are felling pain. In the evening i was taken to my ward and they said just relax you brave boy you have won the battle. In the evening i said my father that i want to eat grapes then he gives me some grapes. When i ate those my head start revolving and my father started worrying and rush towards the nurse lobby to call the nurse. The nurse comes and after looking at my condition called the emergency doctor. The doctor comes and after checking me said that nothing to worry its due to empty stomach. After some time i started felling well. I took my dinner and said that i want to sleep now and slept. The next morning a new patient was admitted next to me. She was a Bengali of my age. After few hours she becomes my friend. She use to call me Dada so i was little confused why she is calling me Dada. As i know Dada means grandfather and she is of my age then how i becomes her Dada? Next day i asked her mother why she is calling me Dada. She smiled and replied in Bengali we call Dada to our elder brother so she is calling you Dada. i simply smiled and said OK i am your Dada😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
